📋 Description
- • As a Senior Product Manager for Intelligent Access at Calix, you will be at the forefront of a transformative era in the broadband industry, shaping the future of how Communication Service Providers (CSPs) deliver exceptional digital experiences to their subscribers.
- • You will own the product strategy and roadmap for E9 and E3 systems, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated with Calix’s overarching Intelligent Access EDGE strategy. This involves defining a clear product vision and guiding its execution from initial concept through to end-of-life, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the entire product lifecycle.
- • A critical aspect of your role will be to define, track, and analyze key business metrics for these systems. Your focus will be on driving accurate forecasting, enhancing revenue and profit margins, and diligently working to reduce the total cost of ownership for Calix systems, thereby delivering significant value to our customers and the company.
- • You will be the linchpin for ensuring interoperability across a complex ecosystem of ONTs (Optical Network Terminals), various PON (Passive Optical Network) variants including GPON, XGS-PON, NG-PON2, and the emerging 50G PON, as well as integrating with third-party vendor systems. This requires a deep technical understanding and the ability to orchestrate complex technical integrations.
- • Collaborating closely with Product Line Leadership (PLL), engineering teams (both hardware and software), marketing, sales, and support, you will articulate detailed product requirements and define critical use cases. Your ability to translate customer needs and market opportunities into clear, actionable product specifications will be paramount.
- • You will be the primary owner of requirements and use case documentation, ensuring that these documents are not only comprehensive but also align perfectly with feasibility studies and customer proposals, providing a solid foundation for development and sales efforts.
- • A significant part of your responsibility will involve driving OMCI (ONT Management and Control Interface) and ONT interoperability testing. You will lead the charge in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving interoperability issues, working hand-in-hand with development and sales teams to ensure a smooth and reliable customer experience.
- • You will coordinate closely with our internal labs and field teams to rigorously validate the behavior of third-party ONTs, ensuring they meet Calix standards and integrate flawlessly with our solutions, thereby maintaining the integrity and performance of the Calix platform.
- • You will play a key role in supporting strategic customer proposals by effectively translating complex technical capabilities into compelling value propositions that resonate with customer business objectives and highlight the unique advantages of Calix solutions.
- • Representing Calix in high-stakes customer meetings, contributing to RFP (Request for Proposal) responses, and actively participating in interoperability forums will be essential to building trust and demonstrating our leadership in the market.
- • You will partner proactively with hardware and software engineering teams, providing crucial guidance on architecture decisions and swiftly resolving any field issues that arise, ensuring the continuous improvement and stability of our products.
- • Working in tandem with the marketing and sales departments, you will help to position the capabilities of E9/E3 systems effectively within competitive landscapes, ensuring our unique selling propositions are clearly communicated and understood.
- • This role demands a customer-centric mindset, requiring a deep and intuitive understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and the evolving challenges faced by CSPs. Your ability to translate these insights into tangible product improvements and new features will be key to our success.
- • You will need to demonstrate a proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, effectively managing complex technical programs that span across engineering, marketing, sales, and support functions, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- • Acting as a vital bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, you will ensure clear communication and understanding across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
- • Thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and demonstrating the agility to adapt to evolving priorities and market shifts will be crucial for success in this role.
- • Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential for managing the multifaceted responsibilities of this position and driving impactful product outcomes.
