📋 Description

• As Senior Product Manager for Issue Management at Vanta, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for two critical product areas: issue management, the core compliance remediation workflow, and exception management, a greenfield build driven by upmarket sales demand. This role is pivotal in helping enterprise GRC customers manage compliance programs at scale, with increasing use of AI to proactively surface and resolve issues before they become audit findings.
• Day to day, you will build exception management from the ground up by partnering with sales and solutions engineering to define enterprise needs, scope the MVP, and ship capabilities that unlock deals. You will lead the agentic AI opportunity by designing AI-powered workflows that auto-route exceptions, flag expiries, and reduce manual overhead. You will conduct deep customer discovery with enterprise accounts, translate insights into scalable solutions, partner with go-to-market to align product with pipeline, and define success metrics to guide prioritization and communicate impact across EPD and leadership.

• In this role, you will own two strategically important product areas — issue management as table-stakes for enterprise GRC and exception management as an active deal-blocker you will solve. You will build greenfield with clear customer demand, direct GTM pull, and a dedicated team. You will have a real opportunity to shape the agentic future of compliance workflows, working closely with go-to-market from day one in a high-visibility role where your work directly impacts revenue outcomes. You will grow your skills in AI-powered product development, commercial fluency, and zero-to-one product building in a supportive, innovative environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 6–8 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS with a track record of building for enterprise or upmarket customers with complex, multi-stakeholder workflows
• Proven AI or agentic product experience — having built AI-powered features and understanding where AI creates genuine differentiation versus noise
• Commercial fluency and GTM partnership skills — experience working directly with sales or solutions engineering, understanding how product gaps affect deals, and translating customer pain into competitive positioning
• Comfort building in greenfield spaces — having taken a product area from zero to one, developing conviction in ambiguity, and shipping foundational capabilities with a clear framework for what comes next
• A strong PM foundation — structured thinking, sharp prioritization, and the ability to balance big-picture strategy with pragmatic, iterative execution
• Open to using AI to amplify skills — demonstrating curiosity, willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
