- • As a Senior Product Manager for Margin, you will play a pivotal role within the Pro business unit, which oversees Kraken's global exchange businesses and sophisticated trading platforms, including the flagship Kraken Pro web and mobile applications.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to act as an individual contributor with significant potential for growth and expanded ownership as the product and regulatory landscape evolves.
- • You will be instrumental in defining and delivering regionally compliant margin products, working in close partnership with our Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- • A key aspect of this position involves direct engagement with US regulators and legal experts to explore and establish licensing pathways and frameworks, such as those governed by the CFTC and various state-level regimes.
- • Drive the strategic expansion of margin trading for US retail customers, conceptualizing and executing strategies for both nationwide and phased state-by-state launches.
- • Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and trading operations, to ensure Kraken's margin offerings are not only compliant but also secure, scalable, and exceptionally intuitive for our users.
- • Contribute to high-impact strategic initiatives that aim to push the boundaries of what is possible in regulated crypto trading, significantly influencing the product direction through 2026 and beyond.
- • Engage with evolving European regulations, such as MiCA and MiFID, and other international frameworks to facilitate Kraken's global expansion while meticulously balancing compliance requirements with continuous innovation.
- • Translate complex regulatory requirements into seamless, user-centric product experiences that cater to the needs of retail traders, ensuring ease of use without compromising on security or compliance.
- • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends within margin trading, both in crypto and traditional finance, to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- • Own the product lifecycle for margin products, from ideation and requirements gathering through to development, launch, and ongoing iteration, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- • Champion a data-driven approach to product development, utilizing analytics and user feedback to inform decisions and measure the success of new features and product enhancements.
- • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure a cohesive and successful go-to-market strategy for margin products.
- • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in trading systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance to maintain Kraken's position as an industry leader.
- • Contribute to the development of robust risk management frameworks and tools to protect both Kraken and its users within the margin trading environment.
- • Proactively identify and address potential product gaps or areas for improvement, ensuring Kraken's margin products remain competitive and meet the evolving demands of the market.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 4 years of Product Management experience, specifically within crypto trading, brokerage, or TradFi margin lending platforms.
- • Deep understanding of US financial regulations, with a particular emphasis on CFTC frameworks, state-by-state licensing requirements, and retail customer protection laws.
- • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs teams to design and launch compliant financial products.
- • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution, understanding both the high-level market opportunities and the granular technical details of trading systems.
- • Strong experience in defining product requirements, prioritizing initiatives, and driving cross-functional teams towards successful product delivery and measurable impact.
- • User empathy, with a clear understanding of the needs and behaviors of retail traders, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into intuitive, customer-first experiences.
- • Experience with EEA regulation such as MiCA or MiFID is considered a strong plus.
