Senior Product Manager, Mortgage Experience and Manufacturing

📋 Description

• • Lead AI-first product strategy for mortgage fulfillment workflows, operational tooling, and decisioning systems across the entire loan lifecycle, identifying optimal intersections between automation, intelligence, and human judgment to improve operator productivity and borrower outcomes.
• • Redesign complex, multi-step operational processes to enhance quality, speed, cost efficiency, and predictability of closing outcomes by reducing manual effort, simplifying handoffs, and eliminating avoidable failure points.
• • Build and evolve internal tools that support file setup, verification, conditions management, underwriting readiness, closing readiness, and production visibility to give teams greater clarity, consistency, and control over their workflows.
• • Define how work moves across people, systems, and handoffs across the fulfillment lifecycle, ensuring clear ownership, stronger workflow orchestration, and end-to-end visibility into file progression.
• • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Compliance, and external vendors to translate operational pain points and business needs into scalable, high-quality product solutions that function reliably in live production environments.
• • Drive integrations between Zillow systems and third-party platforms including LOS, POS, underwriting, verification, credit, and closing tools to create a more connected, reliable, and seamless operator experience.
• • Use data to identify bottlenecks, define success metrics, prioritize opportunities, and measure business impact, leveraging insights to continuously refine workflows and improve throughput, quality, and predictability.
• • Ensure all product solutions are operationally sound, compliant with regulations, auditable, and designed to scale in a highly regulated environment, balancing speed of execution with risk management, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• • Own ambiguous problem spaces end to end, translating fragmented, manual workflows into scalable, intelligent systems that improve file quality, reduce effort, streamline handoffs, and create more predictable closing outcomes.
• • Apply first-principles thinking to break down complex operational challenges, challenge existing patterns, and rebuild end-to-end processes into clearer, more efficient, and scalable systems.
• • Leverage AI fluency and product judgment to deploy modern AI capabilities that enhance workflow design, decision-making, execution, and operator productivity while balancing speed, risk, quality, and human oversight.
• • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and external vendors to translate technical and operational concepts into aligned action and decisive outcomes.
• • Prioritize initiatives based on measurable business impact, focusing on outcomes that reduce manual effort, improve quality, and increase predictability of closing timelines in real-world operational contexts.
