• • NetBox Labs is at the forefront of simplifying the creation and management of complex networks, delivering innovative software solutions both on-premises and in the cloud. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager to take ownership of our critical Foundations platform. This platform serves as the essential shared infrastructure upon which all NetBox Labs teams build their products, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and reliability across our entire ecosystem.
• • Reporting directly to the VP of Product, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our internal development environment. Your primary responsibility will be to partner closely with our dedicated Foundations engineering team, fostering a collaborative relationship that treats internal infrastructure as a first-class product. You will also work cross-functionally with application teams across our Cloud and Enterprise offerings, ensuring that the foundational elements they rely on are robust, well-defined, and meet their evolving needs.

• • Your core mandate will be to own the Platform Foundations roadmap from inception to completion. This encompasses a wide range of critical shared services, including but not limited to: Authentication & Authorization, User & Organization Management, Billing & Entitlement systems, the overarching UI Platform, and the foundational API Platform. You will be responsible for defining the strategic direction, managing the versioning strategy, and ensuring successful adoption milestones across both our Cloud and Enterprise delivery models.
• • A key aspect of this role involves maintaining the Foundations specification as a living, authoritative document. You will be responsible for defining clear, unambiguous contracts between services, driving a rigorous change proposal process, ensuring that all decisions and trade-offs are explicitly documented, and diligently keeping the specification aligned with the practical realities of implementation.
• • You will adopt a customer-centric approach, treating our internal engineering teams as your primary customers. This involves conducting regular discovery sessions with application teams across Cloud, Enterprise, and other application domains to identify friction points, understand adoption blockers, and uncover unmet needs. The insights gathered from these interactions will be crucial for translating into a prioritized, well-reasoned product backlog.
• • Defining and meticulously tracking key adoption metrics will be essential. This includes monitoring which teams are utilizing which spec versions, assessing implementation status across different delivery methods, and identifying areas where divergence is accumulating. These metrics will directly inform and drive future platform investment decisions, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to address the most pressing needs.
• • You will act as the vital connective tissue between the Foundations engineering team and the distributed application teams. This involves proactively managing cross-team dependencies, surfacing potential blockers early in the development lifecycle, and maintaining explicit visibility into adoption timelines. Your ability to foster seamless collaboration will be paramount.
• • Furthermore, you will represent the strategic importance of platform work in executive reviews and cross-functional planning sessions. This requires the ability to translate complex infrastructure concepts into clear, concise priorities and compelling business rationales that resonate with non-technical stakeholders, ensuring buy-in and strategic alignment.
• • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by operating across dual delivery models – cloud-hosted and self-hosted/on-premises. You will need to comprehend why the same capability might necessitate different implementations while ensuring interfaces remain consistent and predictable for developers.
