Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for GoDaddy’s Payments Onboarding experience, defining how millions of entrepreneurs and small-business owners first discover, evaluate, and activate our suite of payment solutions across web, mobile, and in-person channels.
- • Translate complex regulatory, risk, and underwriting requirements into friction-free user journeys that cut onboarding time from days to minutes while maintaining the highest standards for KYC, AML, and PCI compliance.
- • Partner daily with Engineering, Design, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Data Science to ship iterative experiments (A/B, multivariate, and phased roll-outs) that increase activation rate, reduce drop-off, and raise lifetime value for new payment merchants.
- • Deep-dive into funnel analytics to surface actionable insights—identifying where users stall, what documentation scares them away, and how pricing or messaging tweaks can unlock the next 10% conversion lift.
- • Champion a “merchant-obsessed” culture by running weekly customer interviews, shadowing support calls, and embedding with GoDaddy Guides to ensure every roadmap item is grounded in real-world pain points, not assumptions.
- • Define clear, measurable OKRs (e.g., “reduce manual-review rate from 18% to 8% within two quarters” or “increase self-serve activation from 62% to 75%”) and communicate progress transparently to executives, GTM teams, and 2000+ customer-facing reps.
- • Collaborate with global expansion teams to localize onboarding flows for 50+ markets—navigating country-specific identity verification, bank-routing formats, tax documentation, and language nuances without bloating the codebase.
- • Serve as the Payments domain expert for M&A diligence and partnership evaluations, quickly assessing how potential acquisitions or integrations could accelerate onboarding velocity or unlock new merchant segments.
- • Mentor associate PMs and analysts, instilling best practices in story writing, hypothesis framing, and ruthless prioritization so the entire product organization levels up.
- • Influence GoDaddy’s long-term platform vision by ensuring onboarding APIs and risk-decisioning services are extensible, well-documented, and reusable by internal teams building adjacent commerce, booking, or point-of-sale products.
- • Balance near-term revenue impact with long-term trust and safety—knowing that one high-profile fraud incident can erase years of growth—by embedding risk controls and transparent UX copy that educates merchants without overwhelming them.
- • Drive go-to-market readiness: craft positioning, train sales and support, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with marketing to launch campaigns that turn onboarding improvements into measurable ARR gains.
