📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for PayNearMe’s fraud prevention, risk management, and compliance platform—translating complex regulatory mandates into elegant, scalable product solutions that protect millions of consumer transactions across cash, ACH, card, and real-time payment rails.
• • Synthesize quantitative data (transaction volumes, fraud-loss rates, chargeback trends, compliance audit findings) with qualitative insights (user interviews, biller feedback, regulator guidance) to uncover emerging risk vectors and prioritize high-impact roadmap themes that reduce fraud losses, lower compliance costs, and elevate customer trust.
• • Translate regulatory, risk, and operational requirements—from BSA/AML, OFAC, PCI-DSS, NACHA, and state money-transmitter rules—into crisp user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable OKRs that engineering teams can execute against in two-week sprints while maintaining rigorous audit trails.
• • Partner daily with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Engineering, Data Science, and Client Success to design adaptive controls (real-time transaction scoring, dynamic velocity limits, behavioral biometrics, KYC/KYB orchestration) that curb fraudulent activity without adding undue friction for legitimate users.
• • Serve as the authoritative voice on fraud, risk, and compliance inside the Product organization—presenting quarterly strategy reviews to executive leadership, running monthly “lunch-and-learn” sessions for PMs and engineers, and publishing internal white-papers that codify best practices and lessons learned.
• • Drive the build-vs-buy analysis for third-party risk vendors (device fingerprinting, consortium data, sanctions screening APIs) and negotiate commercial terms that balance coverage, cost, and integration complexity while ensuring 99.9 % uptime and sub-second response times.
• • Build and maintain a living risk register that quantifies residual risk exposure across products, geographies, and payment methods; socialize mitigation plans with stakeholders and track progress through automated dashboards that surface leading indicators before losses materialize.
• • Champion a culture of experimentation by launching A/B tests on new fraud rules, monitoring statistical significance within 48 hours, and rapidly iterating on thresholds to achieve target false-positive rates below 0.5 %.
• • Evangelize PayNearMe’s risk capabilities externally—speaking at industry conferences, contributing to standards bodies, and co-authoring thought-leadership pieces that position the company as an innovator in secure, inclusive financial services.
• • Mentor junior product managers and analysts on risk domain knowledge, product discovery techniques, and stakeholder management, fostering a high-performing team that consistently ships on time and delights customers.
