• • As a Senior Product Manager specializing in Transcriptomics, you will be instrumental in defining, owning, and scaling our comprehensive transcriptomics portfolio. This includes spearheading the strategy and growth of our recently launched and rapidly expanding RNA-seq service. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future direction of our transcriptomics offerings, driving deep customer and market insights, and leading the development and successful launch of innovative new transcriptomics applications. You will operate in close strategic partnership with our Marketing and Revenue teams to ensure seamless integration and maximum market impact.
• • This position offers a unique opportunity to push the boundaries of RNA-seq beyond its traditional gene expression use cases. By leveraging our inherent advantages in speed and cost-efficiency, you will enable the development of differentiated applications in critical areas such as cell line quality control (QC), cellular phenotyping, and the assessment of differentiation states. This is a senior individual contributor role, demanding broad cross-functional influence and strategic leadership across the organization.
• • **Understand the Market and Customer:** Your responsibilities will include leading in-depth research to gain a profound understanding of our diverse customer segments, their specific workflows, their unmet needs, and the key drivers influencing their purchasing decisions. You will conduct thorough analyses of market dynamics, evaluate competitive offerings, and identify emerging applications within RNA-seq and related genomic assays. Crucially, you will translate these synthesized customer insights into clear, actionable product requirements and robust prioritization frameworks, serving as the unwavering internal advocate for the transcriptomics customer.
• • **Own Product Strategy and Roadmap:** You will be responsible for defining, evolving, and maintaining the strategic roadmap for the entire Transcriptomics portfolio. This involves managing products throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial concept and validation through to successful launch and ongoing iteration. A key aspect of your role will be identifying and developing novel RNA-seq-based applications that can significantly advance scientific research. You will construct compelling business cases that meticulously balance technical feasibility, operational capabilities, and commercial opportunities, ensuring alignment across all relevant departments.
• • **Enable Go-to-Market and Growth:** You will lead the development and implementation of effective pricing and positioning strategies for our transcriptomics products. Collaborating closely with the Marketing team, you will shape the Go-to-Market strategy, define impactful product messaging, execute promotional activities, and provide essential enablement for our Revenue teams. Continuous tracking of product adoption, customer feedback, and key performance metrics will be vital for guiding product iteration and ensuring sustained growth.
• • **Strengthen Product Management Foundations:** Beyond specific product lines, you will contribute to the evolution of our broader product management frameworks, enhance documentation standards, and refine cross-functional processes to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness. You will also play a role in improving roadmap visibility and execution rigor across all involved teams, fostering a culture of accountability and clear progress.
• • **Expected Outcomes within 6 Months:** Within your first six months, you are expected to deliver clear customer segmentation and prioritization for transcriptomics customers, identify and prioritize high-impact applications for RNA-seq expansion, and define and launch at least one new transcriptomics application. You will maintain a clear Transcriptomics product roadmap with cross-functional alignment and partner effectively with Marketing and Revenue to drive adoption and measurable growth in the market.
