📋 Description

• Lead the end-to-end creation of a groundbreaking AI-powered finance product from 0 to 1, focusing on agentic systems that automate payments, payroll, bookkeeping, and tax for global startups.
• Define product strategy, vision, and roadmap by deeply understanding founder pain points, market trends, and competitive dynamics in AI-driven financial automation.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and commercial teams to translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive user experiences that deliver measurable customer outcomes.
• Drive product discovery and validation through direct customer engagement, iterating rapidly based on real-world feedback to achieve product-market fit.
• Leverage cutting-edge AI tooling—including prompt engineering, in-context learning, fine-tuned models, and agentic workflows—to solve high-impact financial automation problems.
• Own customer outcomes and business metrics, ensuring the product not only solves technical challenges but also drives commercial growth and retention.
• Apply first-principles thinking to deconstruct complex financial workflows and design novel solutions that eliminate manual busywork for business founders.
• Balance speed and rigor in decision-making, shipping high-quality features quickly while maintaining architectural integrity and scalability for global use.
• Communicate product strategy clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, aligning cross-functional teams around a shared vision.
• Stay ahead of rapid advancements in AI, LLMs, and agentic systems, integrating the latest innovations into the product roadmap with critical evaluation.
• Operate with founder-like ownership, taking full accountability for product success from ideation through scaling, with autonomy to make high-stakes decisions.
• Work within Airwallex’s global fintech infrastructure to leverage existing payments, treasury, and embedded finance capabilities as foundational layers for the new AI product.
• Build and iterate on a product that moves beyond traditional SaaS finance tooling to deliver autonomous financial work execution.
• Maintain close attention to detail in structuring ambiguous problems, using data and user insights to inform prioritization and trade-offs.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment with remote and global teams, demonstrating adaptability and resilience under ambiguity.
• Champion a culture of intellectual honesty, continuous learning, and accountability, aligning with Airwallex’s operating principles and mission to redefine global finance.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of overall professional experience
• Demonstrated experience in novel fields like AI, ML, or LLMs
• Previous experience as a startup founder or early team member
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field
• Proven experience in product management building products from 0 to 1
• Excellent communication skills to articulate product strategy to technical and non-technical audiences
