Senior Product Manager, Video Enrichment

📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end product vision for JioHotstar’s AI-driven video enrichment platform, translating cutting-edge research into scalable, production-grade capabilities that serve 750 million weekly viewers.
• • Drive the roadmap for computer-vision, NLP, and audio models that automatically generate rich metadata—scene detection, highlight extraction, face/object recognition, subtitle alignment, audio-text tagging—turning raw video into searchable, contextual, and interactive experiences.
• • Build and evolve self-service APIs and internal tools that empower content, editorial, and recommendation teams to trigger enrichment workflows on demand, reducing manual effort by 80 % and accelerating time-to-publish for live sports and premium originals.
• • Partner with research scientists to shepherd generative-AI prototypes (smart cropping, upscaling, dehazing, auto-chaptering, summarization, moderation) through experimentation, A/B testing, and phased roll-outs that demonstrably improve playback quality and device compatibility.
• • Establish rigorous success metrics—precision/recall of metadata tags, highlight relevance scores, playback start-time, buffering ratio, user engagement lift—and instrument real-time dashboards that surface actionable insights to engineering, data science, and business stakeholders.
• • Champion privacy-by-design and responsible-AI practices, ensuring all enrichment pipelines comply with global data-protection regulations and internal fairness guidelines while handling petabyte-scale video catalogs across multiple languages and genres.
• • Collaborate cross-functionally with video engineering to embed enriched metadata into search, discovery, personalization, and accessibility surfaces—driving measurable increases in click-through rate, watch-time, and subscriber retention.
• • Lead quarterly OKR cycles, sprint planning, and stakeholder reviews; communicate trade-offs, resourcing needs, and go/no-go decisions to executive leadership, maintaining transparency and alignment across a matrixed organization.
• • Stay ahead of industry trends—multimodal foundation models, real-time edge inference, synthetic media detection—and translate emerging opportunities into 0→1 product bets that differentiate JioHotstar in the competitive OTT landscape.
• • Mentor junior PMs and foster a culture of experimentation, data-driven iteration, and customer obsession within the Video Platform and AI/ML charters.
