📋 Description

• Collaborate with ML engineers and product teams to integrate machine learning models and data pipelines into robust backend systems, ensuring seamless interaction between ML technologies and software applications.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs that incorporate machine learning technologies such as transformers and vector databases to optimize performance and usability.
• Architect scalable solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams, defining requirements and implementing systems that enhance the performance, reliability, and functionality of ML-driven products.
• Lead the development of backend components with strict adherence to code quality standards, performance optimization, and maintainability; refactor existing code to ensure efficiency and scalability.
• Set up and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring automated testing, version control, and smooth deployments throughout the development lifecycle.
• Mentor junior developers by providing technical guidance, promoting knowledge sharing, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to optimize infrastructure, ensure smooth deployment, scaling, and monitoring of backend services using cloud-based tools.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve backend performance bottlenecks, bugs, and system failures to maintain high availability and responsiveness of ML-driven applications.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in backend development, machine learning, and cloud infrastructure to continuously enhance team capabilities and system performance.
• Develop and maintain Python-based applications using production-grade best practices including virtual environments, dependency management, containerization, and orchestration.
• Design and implement microservice architectures and RESTful APIs that scale with increasing data volume and user demand.
• Utilize AWS services such as EC2 and S3 to architect and deploy scalable backend solutions in a cloud-native environment.
• Work within agile development teams, contributing to fast-paced, iterative cycles with a focus on delivering high-quality software on schedule.
• Apply familiarity with data pipeline tools like Meltano or Airbyte to support end-to-end data flow from ingestion to model consumption.
• Ensure robust database interactions using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other data storage solutions in alignment with application requirements.
• Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools to automate deployment, scaling, and management of backend services.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional experience as a backend Python Developer in production environments
• Strong experience in backend Python development with emphasis on production-grade software in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• In-depth understanding of Python deployment best practices including virtual environments, dependency management, containerization, and orchestration
• Solid experience designing and developing scalable backend APIs and microservice architectures
• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2 and S3 and ability to architect scalable backend solutions using AWS infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD best practices and hands-on experience setting up and managing automated deployment pipelines
