📋 Description

• Senior Python Engineer responsible for building and optimizing the core signal-detection backend for a European deep-tech startup developing next-generation radar systems for drone detection and tracking.
• Day-to-day tasks include building a Python backend to ingest live I/Q streams, managing data flow with asyncio and shared memory, integrating AI/math modules (NumPy, ONNX/PyTorch), designing data schemas with async PostgreSQL, developing FastAPI APIs and WebSocket UIs, and deploying via Docker/CI/CD with security hardening.
• The team works on radar architecture, RF hardware, signal processing, embedded systems, and data-processing software in a hands-on R&D environment with real ownership of technical decisions and direct impact on defence technology for real-world deployment.
• The role offers deep technical growth in high-throughput, low-latency systems, radar signal processing, AI integration, and secure infrastructure — enabling the engineer to shape core product capabilities and solve complex engineering problems with autonomy.

🎯 Requirements

• Senior (or strong mid) Python engineer with experience building real engineering systems beyond web APIs
• Solid proficiency in asyncio, multiprocessing, and multiprocessing.shared_memory
• Comfortable working with large data matrices using NumPy and optimizing Python for latency and throughput
• Experience with PostgreSQL (asyncpg or SQLAlchemy async), FastAPI, REST, and WebSockets
• Proficiency in Docker, Docker Compose, Linux, Git, and GitHub Actions CI/CD
• Understanding of security basics: TLS, HTTPS, WSS, JWT, network isolation, and secrets handling
