📋 Description

• Perform functional testing on web applications, including frontends and APIs, to ensure reliability, functionality, and adherence to requirements.
• Design and implement testing approaches to validate AI-driven and non-deterministic outputs, focusing on output quality, consistency, and guardrail effectiveness.
• Identify, document, and report defects with clear, reproducible steps following established team standards for bug tracking and resolution.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation using industry-standard test design techniques and methodologies.
• Engage early and continuously throughout the software development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design phases through to deployment—to proactively influence quality outcomes.
• Act as a proactive advocate for quality within cross-functional teams by participating in discussions, raising critical questions, and challenging assumptions to prevent defects before they occur.
• Verify the reliability of asynchronous and event-driven system flows under realistic, production-like conditions.
• Collaborate directly with product managers, developers, and customer support managers to align on quality expectations and resolve issues efficiently.
• Apply solid SQL expertise to validate data integrity, query results, and backend behaviors across complex application layers.
• Utilize CLI tools for testing automation, environment management, and system diagnostics as part of daily workflows.
• Demonstrate a general understanding of software architecture to effectively assess system interactions, dependencies, and failure points.
• Apply foundational knowledge of Python to assist in test scripting, data analysis, and automation efforts where applicable.
• Embrace a proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality, positive problem-solving, and clear communication.
• Contribute to test automation initiatives, leveraging existing frameworks or developing new ones to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Maintain a remote-first work ethic with high autonomy, self-direction, and accountability in a globally distributed team.
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
• Support the team’s OKRs by aligning testing efforts with product goals and delivering measurable quality outcomes.
• Adapt to evolving product features and AI-integrated systems, ensuring testing strategies evolve alongside technological advancements.
• Work within a culture that values transparency, ownership, and collaborative problem-solving to drive collective success.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience testing web applications
• Comfortable with CLI
• Solid SQL expertise
• General understanding of software architecture
• General understanding of Python programming language
• Confident use of test design practices
