• • As a Senior QE Engineer within our dynamic PAR POS software development team, you will play a pivotal role in upholding and advancing our stringent quality assurance standards. This position, reporting to the Engineering Manager, is based in our Gurugram or Jaipur offices, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge restaurant technology.
• • Under general supervision and by adhering to established procedures for quality assurance, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test strategies for our sophisticated POS software. Your primary focus will be to ensure the highest level of quality, reliability, and performance for our products.
• • You will be responsible for coordinating, creating, executing, and meticulously maintaining test cases. This involves a deep dive into system testing, regression testing, and performance and scalability testing to rigorously verify that our software meets and exceeds all quality objectives and user expectations.
• • A key aspect of this role involves close collaboration with our Scrum teams. You will actively monitor development progress, providing constant, actionable feedback to ensure the quality of the final product is uncompromised. This collaborative approach is central to our agile development methodology and ensures a high-quality output.
• • You will design robust test strategies and detailed test cases for complex systems. This includes executing a variety of testing types, such as functional, integration, and end-to-end testing, across diverse platforms including desktop and web environments. Your ability to think critically and anticipate potential issues will be crucial.
• • A significant part of your contribution will be in creating and executing automated test cases. You will leverage your expertise in automated testing frameworks and scripting to enhance efficiency and coverage, reporting test results with clarity and precision. This focus on automation is key to our agile and efficient development cycles.
• • You will be involved in testing strategies specifically tailored for microservices architecture and modern monolith architectures, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities each presents. This requires a nuanced understanding of distributed systems and their interdependencies.
• • API testing will be a core responsibility, utilizing tools like Postman, REST-assured, and Swagger to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of our various software components. You will validate API endpoints, data integrity, and error handling.
• • Furthermore, you will contribute to performance and load testing initiatives, utilizing tools such as JMeter to identify bottlenecks, assess scalability, and ensure our systems can handle peak loads effectively. Understanding user experience under pressure is paramount.
• • You will also engage with security testing practices, applying your knowledge of tools and methodologies to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities, ensuring the robustness and security of our platform. Familiarity with OWASP, SAST, and DAST principles will be highly valued.
• • Proficiency in SQL will be essential for data validation and database testing, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across our systems. You will write complex queries to verify data transformations and persistence.
• • Your role will also involve utilizing version control systems, such as Git, to manage code and test scripts effectively, ensuring traceability and facilitating collaboration within the development team.
