Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Build and scale features using Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, Tailwind, and modern frontend tooling to drive growth experiments across the platform
- • Launch rapid growth experiments with ultra-fast turnaround times, prioritizing speed and learning over perfect implementation
- • Own projects and experiments from ideation to outcome, including measurement, iteration, and learning — not just delivery
- • Scope-cut strategically to maximize learning velocity and business impact while maintaining technical quality
- • Work with analytics tools including Statsig, Segment, Metabase, and Customer.io to analyze metrics, events, experiment results, and user behavior
- • Use data-informed decision-making to guide improvements in conversion, activation, retention, and customer experience
- • Balance technical excellence with the need for rapid experimentation and iteration in a fast-moving environment
- • Improve platform performance, reliability, and user experience across the entire product stack
- • Collaborate asynchronously with high-performing remote teams in Product, Design, Data, and Marketing to align on growth initiatives
- • Contribute to the full lifecycle of experiments: ideation, implementation, measurement, iteration, and learnings
- • Think beyond tickets and actively participate in shaping product direction through experimentation and outcome-focused thinking
- • Operate in a product-minded capacity, focusing on business impact, tradeoffs, risks, and user outcomes rather than purely technical implementation
- • Maintain a bias toward action with a ‘ship, learn, iterate’ mindset to continuously improve product metrics
- • Work in a fully remote, async-first culture with high ownership and low bureaucracy
- • Contribute to scaling a SaaS platform used by over 140,000 users globally
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years building production web applications
- • Strong Ruby on Rails experience
- • Strong frontend experience with Hotwire/Turbo/Stimulus + Tailwind
- • Experience with React, Vue, or similar modern JS frameworks
- • Product-minded engineer with strong ownership mentality
- • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, experimentation-heavy environments
🏖️ Benefits
- • A fully remote company with a strong async-first culture
- • High ownership, low bureaucracy environment where engineers have real product impact
- • Competitive compensation of $45–60 USD/hour for a long-term contractor role
- • Opportunity to work closely with Product, Data, Design, and Marketing on initiatives that directly influence business growth
