📋 Description

• As a Senior React/React Native Engineer at Trading 212 UK Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the frontend architecture that powers trading and investing experiences for over 5 million clients managing more than €30 billion in assets. Your work will directly impact how users build wealth through intuitive, high-performance applications across iOS, Android, Web, and Desktop platforms.
• You will drive technical excellence by contributing to a frontend monorepo strategy focused on code reuse, efficiency, and maintainability, ensuring that every line of code you write scales with the company’s mission to democratize wealth creation.
• Day to day, you will architect and implement complex UI components using React and React Native with TypeScript, ensuring pixel-perfect fidelity and seamless user interactions across all supported platforms.
• You will collaborate closely with design, backend, and product teams to translate specifications into robust, accessible features, participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and cross-functional planning to uphold quality and consistency.
• You will own the health and evolution of the codebase by advocating for best practices in testing, performance optimization, and dependency management, leveraging tools like Nx, React Query, and Zustand to maintain a clean, scalable architecture.
• You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release processes, helping to automate testing, builds, and deployments to enable rapid, safe iteration while maintaining high availability for millions of users.
• You will mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of technical ownership, sharing knowledge on advanced TypeScript patterns, React performance, and native bridge interactions to elevate team capability.
• You will stay ahead of industry trends in mobile and web optimization, evaluating and integrating new technologies that improve load times, reduce bundle size, and enhance responsiveness under varying network conditions.

🎯 Requirements

• Mastery of the JavaScript language, including modern ES6+ features and asynchronous programming patterns
• Extensive professional experience with React or React Native, including state management, component lifecycle, and performance optimization
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, with practical experience using advanced type system features such as generics, discriminated unions, and conditional types
• Solid understanding of HTTP protocols, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous data fetching in frontend applications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional, high-performing teams
