📋 Description
- • Senior Recruiter role focused on owning and elevating Substack’s GTM recruiting function for sales, marketing, and business operations roles
- • Proactively source, engage, and hire exceptional talent before they’re actively looking, leveraging networks and building pipelines ahead of role openings
- • Partner closely with hiring managers and the EPD recruiter to define role requirements, assess candidate fit, and move quickly without compromising quality
- • Own and optimize the Ashby ATS by building dashboards, setting up reporting, and leveraging AI and automation to improve recruiting efficiency
- • Deliver a strong candidate experience that reflects Substack’s brand and values from first touch to offer
- • Track metrics, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve recruiting operations and processes
- • Occasionally support technical or engineering recruiting needs as required
- • Join a small, high-impact recruiting team reporting to the Head of Operations in a fast-moving, lean environment where ownership and influence are expected
- • Contribute to Substack’s mission of building a new economic engine for culture by hiring talent that empowers independent creators
- • Shape how Substack hires, not just execute on reqs, by improving processes and pushing the bar on every hire
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a strong focus on GTM roles (sales, marketing, business operations, partnerships)
- • Proven ability to build and leverage a genuine network to source passive talent before roles are open
- • Strong preference for Ashby experience, including comfort with ATS dashboards, reporting, and workflow automation
- • Track record of owning recruiting functions — building pipelines, improving processes, and pushing back when needed — not just executing requisitions
- • Sharp attention to detail, high reliability, and proactive communication to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- • Comfort working in a fast-moving, lean environment with real ownership and impact
- • Bonus: experience hiring for technical or engineering roles
