Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • Own and execute the end-to-end Salesforce release process across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments, managing weekly and regular release cadences, blackout periods, and emergency deployments.
- • Plan and coordinate deployments of Salesforce metadata, configuration, and limited data using Copado, SFDX, Git-based pipelines, and APIs, including pre- and post-deployment validation steps.
- • Serve as the single point of contact for all Salesforce production deployments, including core Salesforce, CPQ, CRMA, and managed packages, ensuring alignment with Business Systems, GFSA, GTM, and Security teams.
- • Enforce SOX-compliant change management practices by verifying change types, securing required approvals, ensuring segregation of duties, and maintaining audit-ready evidence for all production releases.
- • Own sandbox and environment strategy: plan, schedule, and execute environment refreshes, manage post-refresh configurations, and ensure test data readiness for project work and regression testing.
- • Coordinate and execute managed package installations and upgrades across all environments, including configuration of service accounts, permission sets, connected apps, and post-deployment regression validation.
- • Design, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce releases by standardizing templates, automating validation rules, and integrating smoke and regression tests into deployment workflows.
- • Monitor, triage, and resolve deployment failures, merge conflicts, and metadata inconsistencies, partnering with developers, QA, and architects to conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- • Maintain and update comprehensive release documentation including runbooks, checklists, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and backout plans to ensure process consistency and audit compliance.
- • Collaborate with QA and business stakeholders to validate test plans, secure sign-offs, and document production validations for internal and external audits.
- • Support internal and external audits related to Salesforce change management, access controls, and deployment evidence by providing accurate documentation and responding to audit queries promptly.
- • Identify and drive process improvements in release governance, branching strategies, environment utilization, and tooling to increase system stability, reduce deployment risks, and enhance developer productivity.
- • Partner with cross-functional teams including Salesforce developers, architects, Business Systems Analysts, and business users to ensure predictable, high-quality, and compliant releases aligned with business objectives.
- • Ensure all release activities adhere to enterprise standards for security, compliance, and operational excellence, with a focus on scalability and reliability in a multi-sandbox, global enterprise environment.
