📋 Description

• Senior Rust Software Engineer at Mozilla Corporation, contributing to the Ads Engineering team to build core infrastructure for ethical, privacy-forward advertising across Firefox, Pocket, MDN, and beyond.
• Design and deliver reusable components within Mozilla Ads products that support multiple product teams and surface areas; collaborate with Product, Ad Ops, and Data Science to enable enriched measurement, feedback reporting, and experimentation; implement privacy-preserving features; work with front-end teams to extend systems using innovative technologies; translate product and engineering strategy into actionable tasks and early prototypes.
• Join a mission-driven, non-profit-backed technology company shaping the internet for the better over 25 years, with over 225 million monthly users, focused on AI, social media, security, and reclaiming an internet built for people, not companies.
• Develop deep expertise in privacy-preserving advertising systems, Rust and Python development, cross-functional collaboration in a distributed environment, and leadership in shipping complex software projects while advancing Mozilla’s ethical advertising vision.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of overall software engineering experience
• Proven ability to successfully lead and ship complex software projects
• Experience in Rust
• Familiarity with one of the following front-end technologies: JavaScript or React
• Experience with telemetry, privacy-preserving analytics, and/or programmatic advertising is a plus
• Interest and ability to work in a distributed, cross-functional environment with strong asynchronous written and verbal communication skills
