- • As a Senior Safety and Compliance Specialist at ShipBob, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with UK and EU product safety, Fulfilment House Due Diligence Scheme (FHDDS) tax requirements, and Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations, directly supporting the company’s mission to enable safe and compliant global fulfillment for ecommerce merchants.
- • Day to day, you will ensure compliance with UK and EU product safety requirements including GPSR, UKCA/CE marking, and labeling; engage directly with UK Trading Standards and HMRC to resolve inquiries and corrective actions; maintain FHDDS registration and reporting obligations; serve as a regional DG SME supporting ADR/IATA compliance; collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and Merchant Success teams on merchant vetting and risk assessment; support compliance training initiatives; assist in audit preparation and regulatory inspections; and track regulatory changes to communicate implications to stakeholders.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in UK/EU regulatory frameworks, build cross-functional influence across global teams, gain hands-on experience with government agency engagement, and develop leadership in compliance program development — positioning you for advancement in product safety, tax compliance, or dangerous goods management within a high-growth, innovative logistics technology company.
🎯 Requirements
- • Degree in Regulatory Affairs, Compliance, or a related field
- • 2–4 years of experience in product safety, tax compliance, or Dangerous Goods management within the UK or EU market
- • Working knowledge of Trading Standards, FHDDS, and applicable DG transport regulations (ADR, IATA)
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Ability to work autonomously across global teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
