  • • As a Senior Safety/Risk Management Consultant at ICW Group, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, quantifying, and mitigating Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Property, and Liability risks for small to midsized policyholders across diverse industries such as agriculture, manufacturing, and construction. Your work directly contributes to reducing claim costs, improving underwriting outcomes, and fostering safer workplaces—making a tangible impact on both policyholder safety and the company’s risk portfolio.
  • • Day to day, you will conduct on-site risk assessments and accident investigations, schedule and execute company surveys and service plans, develop and implement corrective action recommendations, collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to craft large account service proposals, and deliver risk management consulting and training to clients—including OSHA, NFPA, and CPSC compliance programs—while maintaining detailed documentation and financial reporting.
  • • You will operate as a field-based consultant with administrative work performed remotely from your home office, requiring regular travel throughout the South Bay territory (San Jose–Salinas–Monterey) to engage with policyholders in person, build trusted relationships, and provide hands-on safety and risk mitigation support.
  • • ICW Group is a financially stable, people-focused P&C insurance carrier with over 50 years of industry leadership and a decade-long recognition as a Top 50 performer. The company values innovation, collaboration, and employee growth, fostering a culture where your expertise is respected and your contributions are recognized as essential to transforming the insurance experience.
  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in risk management methodologies, regulatory compliance (OSHA, NFPA, CPSC), and industry-specific hazard analysis while developing advanced consulting, presentation, and influencing skills. You’ll have the opportunity to earn professional credentials (ARM, CSP, CIH, CPCU), lead training initiatives, and position yourself as a trusted Subject Matter Expert—advancing your career in safety and risk consulting within a supportive, mission-driven organization.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, STEM, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Risk Management, Safety, or a closely related field.
  • • Valid, current driver’s license required for frequent travel to client sites across the South Bay territory.
  • • Preferred: Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), CPE, or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
  • • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information including safety codes, regulations, and financial data.
  • • Strong verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills with proven ability to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive base salary range of $78,678.61 to $132,686.15, exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses, with final compensation based on experience, education, and location.
  • • Comprehensive benefits package including generous medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, and eligibility for annual bonuses.
  • • Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays throughout the calendar year to support work-life balance.
  • • 100% support for continued learning and professional development, including reimbursement for relevant certifications and training.
  • • Opportunity to work remotely for administrative tasks with field-based client engagement in a defined territory, combining flexibility with meaningful in-person impact.
