  • • AeroVect Inc. is at the forefront of revolutionizing ground handling operations within the aviation industry through the power of autonomous technology. As a Series A funded company, backed by prominent venture capital investors with deep roots in aviation and autonomous driving, we are committed to redefining the efficiency and safety of day-to-day operations for airlines and ground service providers globally. Our innovative solutions are already being adopted by some of the world's largest airlines and ground handling entities, marking a significant shift in how airside operations are managed. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Safety & Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of autonomous vehicles in the airport environment.
  • • In this critical role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Safety and the Head of Systems to drive the design, analysis, and comprehensive Verification & Validation (V&V) of our autonomous vehicle system architecture. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing cutting-edge autonomous driving systems, working hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams. A key aspect of your responsibility will be to construct and maintain the safety case, meticulously documenting and defending the integrity and reliability of our solutions. You will be a driving force behind the creation, continuous evolution, and robust deployment of dependable, safety-critical systems tailored for the unique challenges of autonomous driving within the airport driving environment.
  • • Your contributions will extend to defining and rigorously monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that guide our data-driven engineering efforts and ensure optimal system performance. You will be instrumental in developing sophisticated data collection and analysis pipelines, essential for supporting our V&V processes and providing actionable insights. A core part of your work will involve defining clear safety goals and requirements, derived from the Operational Design Domain (ODD), identified hazards, and associated risks. You will be responsible for creating and meticulously managing requirements documentation, ensuring full traceability, and maintaining the integrity of the system architecture.
  • • Furthermore, you will actively shape the system behaviors, particularly for critical safety scenarios, ensuring that our designs are not only robust but also exceptionally resilient. Identifying and communicating potential risks will be a key function, requiring close coordination with various teams to develop and implement effective solutions and mitigations. You will be instrumental in crafting a pioneering safety framework specifically designed for autonomous operations in the airside environment, setting new industry standards. Establishing, overseeing, and upholding the rigorous engineering standards that are absolutely essential for the fail-safe performance of our autonomous systems will be a paramount responsibility.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the cutting edge of autonomous technology in a high-impact industry. You will be part of a team that is not just building products, but shaping the future of aviation logistics. The fast-paced environment at AeroVect Inc. fosters innovation and collaboration, providing a platform for significant professional growth and the chance to make a tangible difference. We encourage a hands-on approach, where you can engage deeply with the technology and enjoy the challenges of developing groundbreaking solutions. Occasional travel, up to 25%, will be required to support project needs and collaborate with stakeholders.
