📋 Description

• As a Senior Sales Engineer on Fivetran’s Enterprise team, you will play a critical role in helping enterprise customers unlock the value of their data by demonstrating how Fivetran’s fully managed data replication platform eliminates engineering overhead and ensures reliable, analysis-ready data in cloud warehouses—directly supporting the company’s mission to make data access as simple and reliable as electricity.
• You will partner with Enterprise Account Executives to deeply understand complex business requirements, design tailored technical solutions, and lead proof-of-value engagements that validate Fivetran’s ability to solve real-world data integration challenges at scale.
• Day to day, you will work with Enterprise customers to uncover their data replication needs, use cases, and business objectives; develop and deliver compelling technical presentations to technical and executive audiences; and ensure technical wins by managing rigorous proof-of-value processes from scoping to execution and reporting.
• You will collaborate closely with Product, Post-Sale Services, Support, and Engineering teams to align solutions with customer needs, provide field feedback, and ensure seamless handoffs post-sale while maintaining strong relationships with key enterprise stakeholders and partners.
• You will stay current on evolving cloud data platforms, data integration trends, and emerging technologies—including AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Kafka, APIs, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Linux, Windows, Python, and Java—to effectively position Fivetran’s capabilities in competitive evaluations.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise sales engineering, cloud data architectures, and data integration best practices while developing executive presence and strategic influence—positioning you for advancement into senior technical sales, solutions architecture, or sales leadership roles within Fivetran’s rapidly expanding global organization.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience selling IT services or products in an enterprise or similarly complex environment.
• Working knowledge of at least one relational database management system (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, or Sybase, including basic troubleshooting, logging/archiving, or installation/administration.
• Working knowledge of at least one cloud data warehouse platform (CDW) such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
• Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering teams to align solutions with enterprise customer requirements.
• Strong technical background in database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data integration technologies.
• Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses, transformation tools, data catalogs, and BI platforms.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
