- • As a Senior Sales Engineer on Fivetran’s Enterprise team, you will serve as the technical bridge between complex customer needs and Fivetran’s data replication platform, ensuring enterprise clients achieve measurable business outcomes through seamless, zero-maintenance data integration.
- • You will partner directly with Enterprise sales executives to uncover deep technical requirements, design tailored proof-of-value engagements, and demonstrate how Fivetran’s automated data pipelines eliminate engineering overhead while delivering reliable, analytics-ready data to cloud warehouses.
- • Day-to-day, you will work with Enterprise customers to understand their business use cases and data replication challenges, develop and deliver compelling technical presentations to CTOs, data engineers, and analytics leaders, and lead rigorous proof-of-value processes that validate Fivetran’s ability to meet SLAs, security, and scalability demands.
- • You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Post-Sale Services, and Support teams to align solution architecture with customer needs, ensuring smooth handoffs and long-term success, while maintaining strategic relationships with key enterprise accounts and technology partners.
- • You will stay current on evolving cloud data platforms, data integration trends, and emerging technologies like Kafka, Databricks, and modern BI stacks, continuously refining your ability to articulate Fivetran’s differentiation in a competitive market.
- • You will contribute to a high-performing, mission-driven culture where technical excellence and customer empathy are valued equally, helping Fivetran maintain its position as a trusted leader in automated data movement for Global 2000 enterprises.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise data architecture, cloud infrastructure, and sales engineering best practices, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor capable of influencing multi-million-dollar deals while gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies across AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, and beyond.
- • You will develop advanced skills in technical storytelling, cross-functional influence, and enterprise deal strategy — learning how to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders while earning the respect of engineering teams as a credible technical partner.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience selling IT services or products in an enterprise or similarly complex environment.
- • Working knowledge of at least one relational database management system (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, or Sybase, including hands-on experience with basic troubleshooting, logging/archiving, or installation/administration.
- • Working knowledge of at least one cloud data warehouse platform (CDW) such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks, with familiarity in how data is loaded, queried, and managed in these environments.
- • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering teams to align technical solutions with enterprise customer requirements and ensure successful implementation.
- • Strong technical background in database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data integration technologies, with the ability to explain concepts like CDC, ETL/ELT, schema evolution, and data latency to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver clear, persuasive technical presentations to C-suite executives, data engineers, and business analysts.
