  • • As a Senior Sales Engineer at Fivetran, you will play a critical role in enabling enterprise customers to unlock the value of their data by bridging technical expertise with sales strategy, ensuring Fivetran’s data replication solutions are positioned as the foundation for modern data-driven enterprises.
  • • You will partner directly with enterprise sales teams to deeply understand complex business challenges, translate technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes, and guide customers through a structured proof-of-value process that accelerates deal velocity and increases win rates.
  • • Your day-to-day will involve engaging with senior technical and business stakeholders at Fortune 500 companies to assess data infrastructure needs, design tailored replication architectures, and demonstrate how Fivetran eliminates manual ETL burdens while ensuring data reliability and scalability.
  • • You will lead the delivery of compelling technical presentations, live demos, and whiteboard sessions that clarify complex concepts around CDC, schema drift, data governance, and cloud-native integration for audiences ranging from data engineers to CIOs.
  • • You will own and execute rigorous proof-of-value (POV) initiatives, defining success criteria, configuring pipelines in sandbox environments, measuring performance and latency, and documenting results to validate ROI and reduce sales cycle friction.
  • • You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Post-Sales teams to relay customer feedback, influence roadmap priorities, and ensure seamless handoff post-close, acting as the voice of the customer in internal solution design discussions.
  • • You will cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key enterprise accounts and technology partners (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS), positioning Fivetran as a trusted advisor in the modern data stack ecosystem.
  • • You will continuously monitor emerging trends in cloud data platforms, real-time streaming, and data observability, updating your technical knowledge to stay ahead of customer needs and competitive differentiators.
  • • You will contribute to the growth of a high-performing, globally distributed sales engineering team by sharing best practices, mentoring junior engineers, and helping refine sales enablement materials and technical playbooks.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in enterprise data architecture, cloud migration patterns, and sales engineering excellence — positioning yourself as a trusted advisor capable of influencing multi-million-dollar deals while advancing your career at a rapidly scaling, mission-driven data infrastructure leader.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, solutions engineering, or consulting roles selling complex IT infrastructure, data platforms, or enterprise software to large organizations
  • • Proven expertise in database replication, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data stack technologies including cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks), data lakes, and transformation tools (dbt, Matillion)
  • • Strong hands-on familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), APIs, Linux/Windows environments, and programming/scripting languages (Python, Java, SQL) for troubleshooting and demo environment setup
  • • Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical audiences (data engineers, architects) and executive stakeholders (VPs, CIOs, CDOs)
  • • Demonstrated success in designing and executing proof-of-value (POV) or proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives that directly influenced enterprise purchasing decisions
  • • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environments with familiarity with MEDDPICC, SPICED, or similar enterprise sales methodologies
