📋 Description

• As a Senior Sales Engineer on Fivetran’s Enterprise team, you will serve as the technical bridge between complex customer needs and Fivetran’s data replication platform, ensuring enterprise clients achieve measurable business outcomes through seamless, zero-maintenance data pipelines.
• You will partner directly with Account Executives, Professional Services, and Product teams to deeply understand enterprise use cases, design tailored proof-of-value engagements, and deliver compelling technical presentations that translate data infrastructure challenges into strategic advantages.
• Your day-to-day will involve leading technical discovery workshops, architecting replication solutions across cloud and on-premise environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Kafka), guiding customers through PoV execution, and collaborating with engineering to influence product roadmap based on real-world enterprise feedback.
• You will build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders — from data engineers to CTOs — by acting as a consultative advisor who not only demonstrates Fivetran’s capabilities but also anticipates scaling needs, performance bottlenecks, and compliance requirements.
• Fivetran’s Enterprise team operates at the forefront of the modern data stack, serving Fortune 500 and high-growth tech companies who rely on our platform to eliminate data engineering overhead and unlock faster analytics — your role directly contributes to customer retention, expansion, and the company’s mission to make data access as reliable as electricity.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise data architecture, refine your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical executives, and gain exposure to cutting-edge cloud data platforms while shaping how Fivetran evolves to meet the demands of global enterprises.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data replication, sales engineering, solution architecture, or a related technical field with a focus on enterprise data infrastructure
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, engineering, and professional services teams to support large, complex enterprise accounts through full sales cycles
• Strong technical foundation in database replication, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks), and ETL/ELT technologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical audiences (data engineers, architects) and non-technical stakeholders (VPs, CTOs, CFOs)
• Experience with modern data analytics stack including cloud data warehouses, transformation tools (dbt), data catalogs, and BI platforms (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
• Strong project management and analytical skills, capable of managing multiple concurrent PoVs, tracking technical success criteria, and driving alignment across internal and external teams
