📋 Description
- • Manage assigned Tier 2 Major Accounts to foster long-term relationships and drive sustained revenue growth through strategic account expansion.
- • Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities within existing Tier 2 accounts to expand market reach and increase customer lifetime value.
- • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to key client stakeholders, including technical teams and C-level executives, aligning Calix One platform capabilities with client business objectives.
- • Architect and deliver advanced broadband and cloud solutions using Calix’s portfolio of technologies, with a consultative approach focused on operational automation, network analytics, and AI-driven insights.
- • Design and implement integrated solutions that connect cloud SaaS offerings with customer BSS/OSS environments to ensure seamless automation and operational efficiency.
- • Lead technical demonstrations, presentations, and proof-of-concept deployments in lab, field trial, and production environments, guiding clients on best practices for hardware and software configuration.
- • Support the end-to-end RFI/RFP response process by providing technical expertise, solution architecture, and compliance documentation.
- • Represent Calix at industry events and client meetings by staying current on broadband, fiber, SDN, SaaS, and AI/ML trends and translating insights into client-facing value propositions.
- • Collaborate closely with Sales teams to develop strategic account plans, deliver technical sales presentations, and align product roadmaps with customer needs.
- • Contribute to the creation and refinement of solution playbooks, interoperability guides, and training materials tailored for Tier 2 Major Accounts.
- • Assist customers in testing and validating network architectures including XGS-PON, GPON, Wi-Fi 6/7, mesh networking, and transport protocols such as MPLS, L2/L3 access, and photonic transport.
- • Apply deep knowledge of broadband CPE management protocols including TR-069/CWMP, TR-369/USP, TR-181, TR-098, and TR-157 to optimize customer network performance and service delivery.
- • Utilize RESTful APIs and JSON to support systems integration between Calix platforms and customer IT infrastructure.
- • Travel up to 50% within North America to conduct on-site client engagements, demonstrations, and technical workshops; valid driver’s license required.
- • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance product development, training programs, and customer success frameworks based on real-world deployment feedback.
- • Maintain technical proficiency in emerging technologies including cloud-native architectures, software-defined networking (SDN), and AI/ML frameworks to advise clients on future-proofing their networks.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (BSEE or BSCS preferred)
- • Proven experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 Communication Service Providers (CSPs) or Open Access service providers
- • Strong technical familiarity with Layer 2 and Layer 3 broadband access architectures, including XGS-PON, GPON, and fiber-based systems
- • Experience with service provider routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, SR) and transport functions (L2/3 VPN)
- • Knowledge of broadband CPE management standards (TR-069/CWMP, TR-369/USP, TR-181, TR-098, TR-157)
- • Demonstrated ability to deliver technical presentations to C-level executives and complex technical audiences
