📋 Description
- • Lead AI-driven drug discovery initiatives in Oncology and/or Age-Related Diseases by designing and executing autonomous or semi-autonomous AI workflows using Owkin K, the company’s AI copilot and biology-tuned LLM.
- • Orchestrate in silico analysis plans for target identification and biomarker discovery, translating high-volume AI outputs into biologically validated, high-quality therapeutic leads.
- • Conduct deep-dive analyses on top-tier target and asset candidates to advance them to formal go/no-go decision milestones in drug discovery pipelines.
- • Collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, and computational biology teams to define and optimize scoring functions, multi-parameter prioritization weights, and evaluation metrics for candidate selection.
- • Develop and refine functional skills for Agentic AI systems, including tool-calling functions and specialized reasoning chains, to enhance biological relevance and accuracy of AI-generated hypotheses.
- • Serve as the primary biological liaison between computational outputs and chemistry, biology, and pharmacology teams to ensure AI-driven insights align with therapeutic development goals.
- • Support the design and validation of outsourced laboratory work by ensuring experimental protocols are aligned with AI-generated hypotheses and data quality standards.
- • Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation across projects, including data mapping, integration efforts, and workflow specifications to ensure reproducibility and cross-team alignment.
- • Critically review internal AI-generated outputs and outsourced research deliverables to ensure scientific rigor, biological accuracy, and alignment with research objectives.
- • Participate in in silico drug design discussions, bridging computational predictions with experimental feasibility and pharmacological relevance.
- • Facilitate seamless communication between technical teams and scientific leads, translating complex AI results into actionable insights for diverse audiences including non-technical stakeholders.
- • Gather and prioritize user feedback from researchers and clinicians to guide product development of Owkin K and related AI tools, ensuring alignment with real-world research needs.
- • Support subgroup identification efforts using advanced computational methods to uncover novel patient populations and therapeutic niches within complex biological datasets.
- • Ensure consistent evaluation of AI model outputs across versions, maintaining ground truth definitions and biological validation standards.
- • Work closely with project managers and principal scientists to execute deliverables, track progress, and communicate findings effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
- • Operate with minimal supervision in managing internal AI workflows, demonstrating autonomy and ownership over scientific outcomes in fast-paced, iterative environments.
- • Maintain fluency in English for all written and verbal communication, including documentation, presentations, and cross-border collaboration with international teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or related field
- • Deep knowledge in Oncology and/or Age-Related Diseases
- • Proven multi-year industry experience applying AI to Life Sciences and drug discovery
- • Strong expertise in target discovery, target validation, and pipeline management
- • Familiarity with LLMs and Agentic AI frameworks
- • Fluency in English
