📋 Description

• As a Senior Security Engineer at Socure, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing security solutions that protect Socure’s next-generation identity verification and fraud prevention products, directly contributing to the company’s services remain resilient and data is protected.
• You will architect, develop, and implement scalable security systems, protocols, and automation to safeguard Socure’s applications, infrastructure, and sensitive data; conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments; monitor security events and lead incident response; ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR, SOC2, and PCI DSS; mentor junior engineers; and advocate for security best practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy, verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts, with a mission felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people daily.
• You will have the opportunity to lead security architecture reviews, drive remediation efforts, partner on compliance audits, stay ahead of emerging threats, and continuously enhance Socure’s security posture while mentoring and influencing secure engineering practices across teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or security engineering, ideally within a high-scale, cloud-based, or fintech/SaaS environment
• Deep expertise designing and implementing security controls across cloud and on-prem infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong experience with application security, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response
• Hands-on proficiency in security automation, network and data protection, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and encryption
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOC2, PCI DSS, etc.) and security standards
• Proven track record mentoring engineers and influencing secure development practices
• Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to drive initiatives in a fast-paced, outcome-oriented team
