📋 Description

• Senior Security Engineer role focused on protecting Cloudera’s hybrid IT environment by implementing and enhancing security controls across on-premises data centers and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). This role is critical to safeguarding enterprise data and infrastructure for global customers.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include deploying and tuning security controls, managing vulnerability assessments, monitoring cloud security configurations, defending on-premises infrastructure, administering IAM systems, responding to security incidents, automating security tasks via scripting and IaC, and supporting compliance efforts for standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.
• Cloudera is a leader in enterprise data management, empowering organizations to turn complex data into actionable insights. The company leverages open-source innovation to drive digital transformation for the world’s largest enterprises across industries.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in hybrid cloud security, gain hands-on experience with multi-cloud security operations, lead incident response initiatives, and develop automation skills that improve security efficiency—positioning you for advancement in cybersecurity engineering or security architecture.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 4–6 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or infrastructure security
• Hands-on experience configuring security settings within at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security technologies
• Ability to use scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) or Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to manage security configurations
• Practical experience managing identity providers (e.g., Okta, Azure AD) and RBAC models
