Senior Security Engineer

📋 Description

• • As a Senior Security Engineer at Wrike, you will serve as the frontline defense ensuring the integrity and credibility of data stored within the platform, owning and evolving the security posture for production, Kubernetes, and GCP environments.
• • Day to day, you will design, implement, and improve security controls including hardening, network segmentation, IAM, and endpoint security across the entire fleet; lead technical direction for cyber security defense covering enterprise posture management, threat detection, and vulnerability management; partner with ITOps, SysOps, DevOps, and XOps to embed security into architecture and change management processes; develop and maintain SIEM strategy and infrastructure for proactive visibility; and educate and coach engineering teams on secure system design to elevate organizational security IQ.
• • You will join a high-performing 14-member security team consisting of AppSec and Compliance specialists, reporting to Swen Groeneveld, Head of Security Operations, in a senior role that requires leading people without direct management authority.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud and container security, influence strategic security architecture, mentor cross-functional teams, and gain hands-on experience with advanced SIEM platforms and GCP security tools while shaping a 'secure by default' infrastructure that enables engineering teams to move fast without compromising safety.
