• • Senior Security Engineer, IAM role focused on revolutionizing Identity and Access Management through automation and AI at Coinbase, a company building the future global financial system via its onchain platform.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and developing internal tools in Go to automate IAM lifecycle and security reviews, building Guardrails-as-Code to detect and remediate permissive roles, prototyping AI-driven solutions using LLMs for access pattern analysis, creating developer-centric tools for secure self-service access management, and serving as a subject matter expert on IAM architecture aligned with Zero Trust and NIST frameworks.
• • The AppSec team operates within Coinbase’s mission-driven, high-performance culture that values technical excellence, ownership, and proactive problem-solving; while the role is remote-first for Canada, it requires periodic in-person participation at team and company offsites to foster collaboration and alignment.
