📋 Description

• Maintain and harden AWS infrastructure including EC2, ALB/NLB, WAF, IAM, and CloudWatch to ensure platform stability and security.
• Operate and evolve Kubernetes clusters on EKS that power Python-based AI services, optimizing performance and reliability.
• Migrate existing services to Kubernetes using Terraform and Helm, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
• Codify and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform for provisioning and Ansible for host-level automation and configuration management.
• Build, improve, and own CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to enable fast, secure, and repeatable deployments.
• Own observability initiatives by implementing and maintaining Prometheus, Grafana, alerting rules, and on-call protocols for proactive incident detection.
• Perform OS-level patching, certificate management, WAF rule updates, and general infrastructure hygiene to uphold system integrity.
• Partner closely with engineering teams to guide infrastructure best practices, improve platform reliability, and reduce toil through automation.
• Create and maintain clear, actionable infrastructure documentation and runbooks to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
• Respond to rare off-hours incidents with minimal disruption, supported by established on-call procedures and team collaboration.
• Serve as the primary bridge between infrastructure and engineering teams, shaping how the platform scales and how developers ship code confidently.
• Take immediate ownership of key infrastructure responsibilities previously managed by the Infra Lead transitioning to a software role.
• Contribute to future-proofing the infrastructure to support the growth of AI-driven products and increasing customer demand.
• Promote a culture of reliability, automation, and developer empowerment through clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing Linux in production environments (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux)
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (especially EKS), Helm, and Terraform
• Solid understanding of AWS services including EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, ALB/NLB, and WAF
• Comfortable running and debugging Python workloads in containerized environments
• Hands-on experience with Nginx for Ingress and reverse proxy configurations
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex infrastructure concepts clearly to engineering teams
