- • Ping Identity is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their mission-critical cloud-based identity services team. This role is pivotal in establishing and optimizing solutions for building, deploying, and maintaining one of the world’s largest identity platforms, specifically within highly regulated government cloud environments. You will be instrumental in ensuring the scalability, resilience, and rigorous security standards required for FedRAMP and other significant audit cycles, contributing directly to the company's mission of making digital experiences both secure and seamless for all users without compromise. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of identity and access management within a dynamic and innovative company that champions individuality and fosters a collaborative, inclusive culture.
- • As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will be multifaceted and critical to the success of our cloud infrastructure. You will be tasked with designing and delivering production infrastructure that not only prioritizes resiliency, observability, and cost-efficiency but also adheres to stringent government compliance requirements. A significant part of your role will involve automating compliance processes by shaping mission-critical solutions through optimized CI/CD pipelines, which will integrate automated security controls and compliance checks. You will play a key role in building and maintaining infrastructure within FedRAMP authorized boundaries, ensuring continuous compliance with NIST 800-53 controls. Furthermore, you will manage Kubernetes at scale, orchestrating containerized workloads to guarantee high availability, implementing self-healing patterns, and ensuring automated scaling. Collaboration is central to this role; you will proactively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and actively share your expertise to foster team development and growth. Maintaining the reliability of our cloud solutions will involve participating in planning sessions, identifying areas for improvement, and joining an on-call rotation to ensure the continuous health and performance of our services.
- • You will be joining an engineering team that operates under a robust DevOps model, where Development and Operations are fully integrated. This collaborative approach ensures that infrastructure is not only robust and scalable but also meets the demanding security and compliance needs of government clients. Ping Identity is a company that believes in cultivating digital freedom, not just for its customers but also for its employees, fostering a culture where individuality is respected and authentic selves are empowered. The company serves over half of the Fortune 100, indicating a commitment to excellence and a significant impact on global cybersecurity and identity management.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in cloud-native technologies, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its specialized services for regulated data like Assured Workloads. You will gain invaluable experience in managing and scaling Kubernetes in production environments, especially within the context of strict government compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP and NIST 800-53. This position allows you to hone your skills in Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, and building highly available, distributed systems. You will also develop your communication and collaboration skills by working with diverse technical teams and stakeholders, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. The experience gained in navigating complex compliance landscapes and ensuring the reliability of mission-critical services will be highly transferable and valuable for career advancement in the SRE and cloud engineering fields.
- • The role demands a proactive approach to infrastructure design, focusing on building systems that are inherently reliable, observable, and cost-effective. This involves not just reacting to issues but anticipating them through robust monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation strategies. You will be instrumental in defining and implementing best practices for container orchestration, ensuring that applications deployed on Kubernetes are resilient and can scale dynamically to meet user demand. Your work will directly impact the security posture of Ping Identity's government cloud offerings, requiring a deep understanding of security principles and their application within cloud infrastructure. The opportunity to contribute to a company that is a leader in identity and access management, serving some of the largest enterprises globally, provides a unique platform for professional development and impact. You will be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service, all while working in a remote capacity within the USA. The emphasis on DevOps principles means you'll be involved in the entire lifecycle of services, from development through to production operations, fostering a holistic understanding of system architecture and performance. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on complex challenges, enjoys automating intricate processes, and is passionate about ensuring the reliability and security of cloud-based services in a highly regulated sector. The continuous learning aspect is crucial, as the landscape of cloud technology and government compliance is constantly evolving, requiring engineers to stay abreast of the latest advancements and adapt their strategies accordingly. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining Ping Identity's reputation as a trusted provider of secure and seamless digital identity solutions.
