• • Circle Internet Financial Limited is seeking a Senior Smart Contract Engineer to play a pivotal role in building the foundation of a more open, global economy through digital assets, payment applications, and programmable blockchain infrastructure. This position is crucial for developing and maintaining the secure, efficient, and production-grade smart contracts that power Circle’s core protocols and innovative financial services.
• • As a Senior Smart Contract Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass the full lifecycle of smart contract development. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining production-grade smart contracts across various blockchain ecosystems, with a primary focus on EVM-based Solidity contracts and Solana programs written in Rust using the Anchor framework. A significant portion of your role (approximately 70%) will be dedicated to smart contract development, while the remaining 30% will involve building and integrating supporting backend services. This includes developing backend services and integration layers that interface seamlessly with deployed smart contracts and internal systems, enabling transaction orchestration, indexing, and monitoring.
• • You will actively research and apply industry-standard design patterns and emerging best practices in smart contract and distributed systems engineering to ensure robust and scalable solutions. A key aspect of your work will be optimizing smart contract performance, with a strong emphasis on gas efficiency, while rigorously enforcing security through secure architecture and defensive coding practices. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining transaction orchestration flows, event listeners, and indexing services that effectively bridge on-chain and off-chain components, ensuring smooth data flow and operational integrity.
