  • • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in expanding Zendesk's customer base by proactively identifying and closing new business opportunities within the Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) segment. Your primary focus will be on achieving top-line revenue growth through strategic account acquisition and development.
  • • You will be responsible for managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals. This involves building and nurturing strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective clients, understanding their unique business challenges, and demonstrating how Zendesk's suite of solutions can address their needs and drive their success.
  • • A key aspect of this role is to act as a trusted advisor, leveraging your deep understanding of the SaaS landscape and customer service best practices to articulate compelling value propositions. You will need to effectively communicate the benefits of Zendesk's products, aligning them with customers' strategic objectives to ensure maximum satisfaction and foster opportunities for account expansion.
  • • Proactive identification and pursuit of cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within existing accounts will be crucial for optimizing revenue and profitability. This requires a keen ability to analyze customer data, understand their adoption history, and identify unmet needs or areas where additional Zendesk services can provide significant value.
  • • You will employ data-driven insights, customer intent signals, and adoption metrics to refine prospecting strategies and enhance customer retention efforts. This analytical approach will enable you to target the right clients with the right solutions at the right time.
  • • Leading competitive sales cycles will demand strong communication, negotiation, and persuasive selling skills. You will be adept at crafting and presenting robust business cases that clearly articulate the return on investment and competitive advantages of partnering with Zendesk.
  • • Consistent development of a healthy and qualified sales pipeline is paramount. This involves meticulously tracking opportunities, managing sales stages, and maintaining accurate records within Salesforce to ensure visibility and predictability.
  • • You will be expected to provide accurate and timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts, demonstrating a clear path to exceeding ambitious quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • • Collaboration is key to success. You will work closely with internal teams, including Sales Development Representatives, Solutions Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and Marketing, to refine sales strategies, enhance sales execution, and ensure a seamless customer experience from acquisition through to ongoing success.
  • • Exceeding weekly and monthly activity and pipeline Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be a standard expectation, reflecting a commitment to high performance and continuous improvement.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 3 years of proven B2B sales experience, preferably within the SaaS industry, with a demonstrable track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • • Experience in managing and expanding customer relationships at various levels within organizations.
  • • Strong presentation, negotiation, and deal closing skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions effectively.
  • • Proven ability in account research, prospecting, and customer outreach to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • • Familiarity with key sales tools such as Salesforce and Clari, and experience creating and leveraging territory plans.
