đź“‹ Description

  • • Lyte, Inc. is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge perception systems for Physical AI, designed to operate seamlessly within complex and dynamic environments. Our innovative approach integrates custom silicon, advanced sensors, and sophisticated software into a unified platform, driving advancements in robotics, mobility, and the next generation of automation. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, with a growing global presence, Lyte is a place where passion for impactful technology meets a hands-on, dynamic work culture. If you are driven by the prospect of building transformative technologies and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity.
  • • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System On Chip (SoC) Architect to become an integral part of our dedicated team. This role is crucial in shaping the development and successful delivery of our state-of-the-art SoC projects. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of hands-on experience in defining and architecting complex SoC solutions specifically for embedded product applications. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between high-level system requirements and detailed silicon design, working intimately with our systems, software, and design engineering teams.
  • • Your primary responsibility will involve deeply understanding the intricate SoC system requirements, analyzing performance targets, and architecting optimized solutions that precisely meet these demands. This includes evaluating trade-offs between performance, power, area, and schedule to arrive at the most effective architectural decisions. You will play a pivotal role in translating these architectural blueprints into actionable specifications for the design and verification teams.
  • • Throughout the entire SoC development lifecycle, you will provide critical support. This extends from the initial implementation phase, ensuring that the design adheres to the architectural vision, through the rigorous verification stages, where you will contribute to defining test strategies and coverage goals. Furthermore, your expertise will be vital during the system validation phases, ensuring that the silicon performs as expected in the target application.
  • • Key responsibilities in this role include:
  • • Thoroughly studying and understanding the system-level requirements for Lyte's custom SoC, with a keen focus on how the SoC will function and interact within the broader system context.
  • • Defining, meticulously reviewing, and comprehensively documenting the SoC architecture and its associated requirements, ensuring alignment with overarching system needs and strategic objectives.
  • • Proactively researching and evaluating available Intellectual Property (IP) cores and technologies from external vendors and partners, assessing their suitability and integration potential within our SoC designs.
  • • Defining, documenting, and diligently maintaining the project's requirements, including any necessary custom logic blocks, ensuring clarity and traceability throughout the development process.
  • • Actively participating in critical design reviews, providing expert architectural guidance, and ultimately approving the implementation to ensure adherence to the defined architecture.
  • • Engaging in test plan reviews, contributing to the definition of required test coverage, performance metrics, and validation strategies to ensure the silicon's robustness and functionality.
  • • Defining robust silicon bring-up flows and comprehensive test plans to facilitate efficient and effective initial hardware testing.
  • • Participating actively in silicon and system bring-up activities, providing essential architectural insights and debugging support to resolve any emerging issues.
  • • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including systems, software, hardware design, and verification engineers, to foster a cohesive and efficient development process.
  • • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continuous improvement of our SoC design methodologies and best practices.
  • • Staying abreast of the latest trends and advancements in SoC architecture, embedded systems, and relevant technologies to drive innovation within Lyte.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the core technology that powers Lyte's Physical AI systems. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our hardware, contributing directly to the success of our groundbreaking products in robotics, mobility, and automation.
