- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript to support product expansion and pricing accuracy on the Zensurance platform.
- • Writing clean, testable, and well-documented code while enforcing coding standards, conducting code reviews, and ensuring system reliability and performance under high-volume transaction loads.
- • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, data, DevOps) to translate business requirements into technical solutions that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
- • Providing technical mentorship and coaching to junior and mid-level developers, fostering growth in software craftsmanship, and promoting best practices in architecture, testing, and deployment.
- • Assisting the Engineering Leadership Team in evaluating and improving development processes, tooling, and team capabilities to enhance velocity and quality.
- • Contributing to the Developer Experience team’s efforts by helping build internal tools, libraries, and frameworks that streamline feature development and reduce friction for engineering teams.
- • Participating in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups, to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
- • Staying current with emerging technologies and advocating for innovation in areas such as observability, API design, and cloud-native patterns.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- • Proven experience designing and building scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs in cloud environments.
- • Demonstrated ability to mentor developers, enforce coding standards, and improve team technical practices.
- • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, RESTful API design, and asynchronous processing patterns.
- • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
