📋 Description

• Build and maintain full-stack systems that integrate Heidi’s AI Care Partner into UK clinical workflows, ensuring seamless operation within existing EHRs and healthcare IT infrastructure.
• Design and implement AI-driven pipelines that process and interpret complex clinical documentation, transforming unstructured data into actionable, structured insights without increasing clinician burden.
• Develop integrations that reliably transmit patient data, billing codes, and compliance information between Heidi and UK healthcare systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to local regulatory requirements.
• Create agentic workflows where AI assists with extraction, reconciliation, and drafting of clinical notes, with built-in human review, audit trails, and configurable controls to maintain clinical oversight.
• Write clean, testable, and observable code with robust error handling, logging, and monitoring to ensure systems are dependable in high-stakes clinical environments.
• Own end-to-end delivery of features—from conception and design through deployment and post-launch validation—ensuring solutions improve clinician efficiency and practice revenue outcomes.
• Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams including product, design, data science, and clinical advisors through pairing, code reviews, and shared ownership of architecture and implementation.
• Translate real-world constraints of the UK healthcare system—including billing rules, payer models, and compliance mandates—into scalable technical solutions that abstract complexity from end users.
• Actively contribute to improving product quality by identifying technical debt, proposing architectural improvements, and advocating for maintainable, secure, and performant systems.
• Engage with ambiguous, evolving problems in healthcare operations, asking clarifying questions and driving toward shippable solutions grounded in user needs and clinical reality.
• Leverage modern AI coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining rigorous validation, correctness checks, and system integrity across all layers of the stack.
• Participate in the continuous learning of UK healthcare operational dynamics, incorporating frontline feedback into product evolution and technical prioritization.
• Ensure all systems meet the highest standards of data privacy, security, and clinical trust, aligning with UK and international healthcare data governance frameworks.
• Support global expansion efforts by documenting and abstracting UK-specific logic to enable rapid adaptation in other international markets.
• Maintain a relentless focus on user impact: measure success not just by system uptime or code quality, but by how much time is returned to clinicians and how many patient interactions are improved.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping complex systems that real users depend on.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals and experience contributing to user-facing products end-to-end.
• Experience with agentic frameworks, modelling complex domains, orchestration, and event-driven architectures is a plus.
• Fluency with AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining correctness and validation.
• Ownership and follow-through: taking responsibility for commitments, communicating changes clearly, and unblocking or escalating early.
• Collaborative working style with comfort in pairing, shared ownership, and tight feedback loops.
