📋 Description

• SciLeads is a remote, fast-growing SaaS company providing market and sales intelligence to the life science and pharmaceutical industry, recognized as one of Deloitte’s fastest-growing tech companies for four consecutive years, and this Senior Software Engineer role is critical to driving the technical vision and scalability of its platform.
• As a Senior Software Engineer reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, you will own the full software development lifecycle, lead complex data engineering initiatives, and ensure high-quality, customer-focused delivery of features that power SciLeads’ billion-record database.
• You will work with cloud-based architecture using .NET Core, C#, React, SQL, AWS, and Elasticsearch to design scalable systems, improve data handling processes, and mentor intermediate engineers while collaborating across a fully remote team.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include owning end-to-end feature development, implementing robust data engineering practices for large-scale datasets, conducting code quality reviews, prioritizing work across multiple concurrent projects, and adopting a customer-first approach to deliver measurable value.
• You will collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions, participate in agile ceremonies, and contribute to architectural decisions that support long-term platform performance and reliability.
• The team is distributed across the UK and operates with a strong remote-first culture, emphasizing trust, autonomy, and continuous learning, with regular virtual and quarterly in-person meetups to foster connection and alignment.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of post-education experience in C# and .NET software development
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex data challenges and significantly improve data handling processes
• Experience mentoring intermediate engineers and leading on complex technical projects
• Expertise in scalable system design and architecture
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with comfort prioritizing work across multiple concurrent projects
• Commitment to continuous learning and growth
