Senior Software Engineer

📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of features that eliminate the maintenance headache for residents, property managers, owners, vendors, and technicians. You will design, code, test, deploy, and monitor every piece you ship, ensuring it scales to thousands of homes and the teams that keep them running.
• • Architect and build robust, secure, and performant APIs and backend services in Python and Django. You will write clean, idiomatic code, craft thoughtful database schemas in PostgreSQL, and ensure every endpoint is documented, versioned, and observable from day one.
• • Continuously improve our CI/CD pipelines so the entire engineering organization moves fast without breaking things. You will automate tests, enforce code quality gates, streamline deployments, and champion a culture of repeatable, reliable releases.
• • Profile application and database performance under real-world load, identify bottlenecks, and deliver measurable speed-ups. You will instrument code, analyze query plans, cache strategically, and present before-and-after metrics that prove impact to the business.
• • Own reliability and observability: set up structured logging, define SLIs/SLOs, configure actionable alerts, and run blameless post-mortems. When incidents occur, you stay calm, coordinate the response, and turn every outage into a learning opportunity.
• • Shape the technical roadmap for core workflows such as work-order orchestration, vendor scheduling, resident communications, and billing integrations. You will weigh trade-offs between speed, scope, and technical debt, and communicate decisions clearly to stakeholders.
• • Collaborate daily with product managers, UX designers, QA, and customer success to translate user pain points into elegant technical solutions. You will occasionally shadow customers on-site once per quarter to see how your code performs in the field and gather direct feedback.
• • Mentor and level-up mid-level and junior engineers through pair programming, architecture reviews, and career coaching. You will model best practices in testing, documentation, and code review, raising the bar for the entire team.
• • Champion security, privacy, and compliance across the stack. You will conduct threat modeling, keep dependencies patched, and ensure we meet or exceed SOC 2 and other regulatory requirements.
