📋 Description

• • Architect and deliver rock-solid, scalable software that powers Forward Financing’s mission to unlock capital for America’s small businesses. You will own end-to-end design, coding, testing, and deployment of features that move millions of dollars every day, ensuring reliability, security, and speed at every layer.
• • Serve as the technical anchor for multiple scrum teams, translating complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions. You’ll partner daily with product managers, designers, data scientists, and risk analysts to shape roadmaps that balance customer delight, regulatory compliance, and engineering excellence.
• • Lead the evolution of our third-party integration infrastructure—dozens of APIs, webhooks, and data feeds that feed our AI/ML risk models and real-time decision engines. Expect to refactor legacy patterns, introduce robust observability, and cut integration onboarding time from weeks to days.
• • Champion quality through automated testing, continuous integration, and rigorous code reviews. You’ll define coding standards, create reusable libraries, and mentor engineers in test-driven development so every release raises the bar for stability and performance.
• • Boost engineering velocity by building internal tooling, technical runbooks, and self-service dashboards. Your artifacts will empower squads to ship faster while reducing on-call burden and technical debt.
• • Act as a force-multiplier for junior and mid-level engineers. Through pair programming, architecture brown-bags, and career coaching, you’ll cultivate a culture of curiosity, kindness, and relentless improvement.
• • Influence product strategy with data-driven insights. You’ll instrument systems to surface latency, error budgets, and business KPIs, then turn those metrics into narratives that guide roadmap prioritization and investment decisions.
• • Navigate the fast-moving FinTech regulatory landscape—PCI-DSS, SOC 2, state lending laws—with secure-by-design thinking. You’ll embed compliance controls into pipelines and partner with Legal & Risk to keep customer data safe and audit-ready.
