- • As a Senior Software Engineer at Forma Inc., you will build and ship the best possible products accurately and on-time, solving complex business problems with highly secure, scalable, and easy-to-use backend APIs and infrastructure.
- • You will design, build, and maintain backend services that power Forma's benefits platform, including APIs for account lifecycle, transactions (claims, reimbursements, contributions), and member management, while working across React/TypeScript/NestJS services and contributing to whichever codebase the work requires.
- • You will build and consume event-driven integrations using Google Pub/Sub, write well-tested, production-ready code, take ownership of your services in production—including on-call responsibilities, monitoring (Datadog), and incident response—and collaborate closely with product, ops, customer success teams, and engineers across teams to deliver features that serve members, customer admins, and internal operations teams.
- • You will contribute to engineering standards, tooling, and processes that help the team ship faster and more reliably, use AI tools thoughtfully as part of your workflow to accelerate development and improve code quality, and grow your expertise in fintech, benefits, or HR tech while working with a mission-driven company that has helped hundreds of admired companies design flexible, inclusive benefits programs for nearly a million employees.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–5 years of professional experience building backend services and APIs
- • Strong proficiency in TypeScript/NestJS
- • Solid experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL—schema design, query optimization, and migrations
