- • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality software solutions across the full stack to enhance the Resident Experience Platform for property managers and residents.
- • Own features end-to-end—from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and monitoring—to ensure reliable, well-crafted outcomes.
- • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technically sound and user-centric solutions.
- • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making, shaping the future of a newly formed product team.
- • Write clean, well-tested code and uphold engineering best practices through thorough code reviews and documentation.
- • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues proactively to reduce toil, improve system performance, and enhance user and teammate experiences.
- • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to accelerate their growth and elevate team standards.
- • Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and system design guides.
- • Actively participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment and continuous improvement.
- • Stay current with emerging technologies and introduce innovative ideas into the team’s workflow to improve efficiency and product quality.
- • Leverage AI-assisted and agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) daily as part of the development workflow to increase speed, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- • Explore and implement agentic coding workflows that automate tasks, generate or review code, and accelerate system design.
- • Contribute to improving engineering processes by catching problems early, refining workflows, and fostering a culture of confidence and ownership.
- • Drive measurable improvements in code quality and engineering standards across the team through thoughtful feedback, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
- • Build software in a cloud-native environment using Kubernetes and Terraform, with a focus on microservices, distributed systems, and domain-driven design.
- • Work in a remote-first environment with full accountability for delivering high-impact work during scheduled hours in a distraction-free setting.
- • Attend bi-annual in-person company meetings, with travel costs reimbursed per company guidelines.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong background in software design and architecture
- • Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, NestJS, and PostgreSQL
- • Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes and Terraform
- • Strong grasp of software architecture patterns including microservices, distributed systems, hexagonal architecture, and domain-driven design
- • Active, hands-on use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) in daily development workflow
- • Experience with or strong curiosity about agentic coding workflows
