- • Design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS to support Canary’s hospitality-specific AI platform used by 20,000+ hoteliers across 100+ countries.
- • Own the strategy for AWS infrastructure architecture, including compute, storage, networking, and security configurations to ensure high availability and performance.
- • Implement and maintain automation pipelines for deployment, monitoring, and incident response to reduce manual toil and improve system reliability.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and enforce best practices for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability.
- • Lead efforts to improve platform security posture through identity management, network segmentation, compliance controls, and vulnerability remediation.
- • Monitor system performance and latency metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization across global hotel operations.
- • Drive incident response and post-mortem processes to ensure rapid resolution of service disruptions and continuous improvement of system resilience.
- • Partner with product and data teams to design scalable data pipelines and storage solutions that support real-time guest experience analytics.
- • Mentor junior engineers on cloud architecture principles, AWS best practices, and operational excellence standards.
- • Evaluate and integrate new cloud technologies and services to enhance platform capabilities while maintaining cost efficiency and operational stability.
- • Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, runbooks, and architectural decisions to ensure knowledge sharing and onboarding efficiency.
- • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 reliability of the platform supporting critical hotel operations worldwide.
- • Contribute to roadmap planning for infrastructure initiatives aligned with company growth goals and customer demands from major hotel brands including Wyndham, Marriott, IHG, Four Seasons, Rosewood, and Best Western.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on cloud infrastructure and AWS
- • Proven expertise in designing and managing scalable, secure, and highly available AWS architectures
- • Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in production environments
- • Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure strategy and mentor engineering teams
- • Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud environments including IAM, VPC, and encryption
