- • As a Senior Software Engineer at Proofpoint, you will design and build the next generation of cloud and data security solutions, directly contributing to the protection of organizations’ most critical assets—people, data, and AI agents—across email, cloud, and collaboration tools used by over 80 Fortune 100 companies and 10,000 large enterprises globally.
- • You will develop efficient software to create internal representations of complex, large-scale cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure) to analyze risks and vulnerabilities, enabling proactive threat detection and data loss prevention in real-time SaaS environments.
- • You will lead, design, and develop features on Proofpoint’s scalable microservices-based infrastructure, focusing on solving data security challenges in cloud-native applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with evolving security standards.
- • You will gain deep expertise in the internals of major public cloud providers, translating architectural knowledge into production-grade features that enhance cloud security posture management and data protection capabilities.
- • You will collaborate with a global, high-performing engineering team grounded in Proofpoint’s BRAVE values—Bold, Responsive, Accountable, Visionary, and Exceptional—fostering innovation through ownership, curiosity, and relentless execution.
- • You will take end-to-end ownership of features from conception to deployment, working independently with minimal guidance while maintaining rigorous quality, scalability, and future-proofing standards in fast-paced, agile environments.

🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience building applications and services in one of AWS, GCP, or Azure
- • 4+ years of experience in Python or NodeJS (preferred)
- • 4+ years of experience in cloud security (preferred) or 8+ years of experience building system or application software with modern technologies
- • Prior experience building SaaS products is a plus
- • Strong software design, complexity analysis, development, and debugging skills
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills
- • Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure and data security
- • Bachelor’s degree in CS/EECS or similar; Master’s degree in CS preferred
