Senior Software Engineer

📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end delivery of new product modules and features for Ravio’s customer-facing web platform, a real-time compensation data SaaS used by 1,200+ of the world’s most innovative companies. You will architect, build, test, deploy and maintain code across the full stack, directly influencing how millions of professionals are paid.
• • Lead technical design sessions with our technical co-founders and senior engineers, translating complex compensation logic into elegant, scalable software. You’ll make critical decisions on data modelling, API design and system architecture that will stand the test of hyper-growth.
• • Ship high-impact frontend experiences in React + TypeScript, leveraging GraphQL (Apollo Client), Mantine, Storybook and Chromatic to craft pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces that delight compensation professionals and HR leaders.
• • Build and extend robust backend services in Node + TypeScript on Google Cloud Run, Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage. You’ll design Postgres schemas, optimise queries and expose clean GraphQL Yoga endpoints that serve both our web app and future public API.
• • Champion quality and reliability by writing comprehensive unit, integration and end-to-end tests with Jest and Playwright. You’ll configure CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, monitor production with Datadog and ensure every release meets the high bar expected by Fortune 500 clients.
• • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers and data scientists to take 0-1 ideas from whiteboard sketches to production MVPs, then iterate rapidly based on customer feedback. Recent examples include a live equity benchmarking dashboard and an AI-driven salary band generator.
• • Mentor and up-level junior engineers through pair programming, code reviews and brown-bag sessions. You’ll help define best practices, coding standards and onboarding docs that keep our small, elite team productive and happy.
• • Contribute to the engineering culture at a pivotal moment: our core benchmarking product is at product-market fit, while new modules are in the 0-1 phase. You’ll balance green-field creativity with scaling challenges, all while working alongside world-class teammates who value craftsmanship and impact.
• • Influence the technical roadmap and company strategy. Your voice matters in deciding which markets we enter next, which data sets we integrate and which platform capabilities will define the global standard for compensation management.
