- • Senior Software Engineer at Forward Financing, a mission-driven fintech company unlocking capital for underserved small businesses across America, where you will design and implement scalable, secure software solutions that power AI/ML initiatives and third-party integrations critical to the company’s growth and impact.
- • You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications, serve as a technical leader enhancing quality, scalability, reliability, and speed-to-market of integration infrastructure, and elevate application quality through development best practices while working across multiple scrum teams to deliver complex features.
- • As a mentor and productivity booster, you will create technical artifacts, coach teams through design and PR reviews, actively resolve technical challenges, and instill best practices in junior engineers to raise the overall engineering bar.
- • The Engineering team is a key driver of innovation at Forward Financing, building software that powers FinTech products serving small businesses nationwide, with a focus on leveraging data from dozens of third-party vendors to fuel AI/ML and analytical capabilities in a remote-first, EST-aligned environment.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in full-stack development with backend focus (Ruby preferred), grow as a technical leader influencing cross-team outcomes, and contribute to a company recognized as a Best Place to Work by Built In Boston and Great Place To Work®, where your work directly enables financial opportunity for thousands of small businesses.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of Full-Stack development experience with a focus on the backend, preferably using Ruby
- • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a demonstrated understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- • Experience in Agile software development and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
