• • As a Senior Software Engineer on the Growth Platform team at Kraken, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of how our engineering teams build and deploy critical growth-focused features. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the internal tooling, services, and developer platforms that empower not only the Growth Engineering teams but also other engineering departments across the company to accelerate their development cycles and enhance the reliability of their products.
• • Your primary focus will be on creating robust and user-friendly developer experiences. This involves building essential components such as Software Development Kits (SDKs), Command Line Interfaces (CLIs), Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and sophisticated backend systems. These tools will enable engineers to seamlessly integrate growth-related features and infrastructure in a manner that is safe, consistent, and scalable, ultimately impacting millions of users globally.
• • This role is ideally suited for engineers who possess a strong understanding of how developer experience, system reliability, and scalability directly translate into significant business impact. You will be at the forefront of enabling rapid experimentation and efficient delivery of new features by providing the foundational tools and frameworks that other teams rely on.
• • You will architect, build, and maintain a suite of tools including SDKs, CLIs, APIs, and shared backend services. These will be the backbone for Growth engineering teams, facilitating faster iteration and deployment of marketing funnels, user signup and KYC flows, and key engagement features designed to onboard new users and encourage account funding and product exploration.
• • A significant part of your responsibility will involve developing and refining internal tools and frameworks. These will be engineered to streamline engineering workflows, enhance automation capabilities, and boost the overall efficiency of our deployment processes, allowing teams to focus more on innovation and less on repetitive tasks.
• • You will be tasked with designing and evolving scalable backend systems and databases. This requires a deep understanding of performance optimization, security best practices, and ensuring the resilience of these critical systems under heavy load.
• • Clear, comprehensive, and maintainable technical documentation will be a key deliverable. You will be responsible for creating onboarding materials and guides that make it easy for engineers across the company to understand and effectively utilize the platform tools you develop.
• • Collaboration is central to this role. You will partner closely with other engineers to deeply understand their challenges and pain points. This insight will then be translated into the creation of intuitive, reliable, and effective internal systems that address these needs.
• • You will take ownership of critical aspects of our core services, including their reliability, observability, and performance. This involves proactively identifying and implementing improvements to ensure these systems operate at peak efficiency and uptime.
• • Alignment with broader company initiatives is crucial. You will collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams across Kraken to ensure consistency in standards, tooling, and best practices, fostering a cohesive engineering ecosystem.
