📋 Description

• Senior Software Engineer, Backend - IAM & Account Infra role at Airwallex, focused on advancing identity solutions and fortifying account infrastructure for a global payments platform serving over 200,000 businesses.
• Define technical vision and architectural strategy for IAM and account infrastructure, partner with product and engineering leaders to build roadmaps, and ensure alignment with legal, compliance, and security teams on regulatory changes.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-availability IAM systems using Java/Kotlin and cloud-native technologies, implement security protocols like OAuth2 and SAML, optimize infrastructure for scalability, and champion code quality through reviews and automated testing.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers, establish engineering best practices, drive technical initiatives to improve system observability and developer velocity, and foster a culture of ownership and excellence within the team.
• Work within Airwallex’s innovative engineering culture that values founder-like energy, first-principles thinking, and AI-enabled problem solving, contributing to a mission-driven platform used by global enterprises like Brex, Rippling, and SHEIN.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6 years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on backend development.
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python.
• Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts including Authentication, Authorization, SSO, and MFA.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis).
